Super Monkey Ball Adventure is a video game developed by Traveller's Tales and distributed by Sega. It was released worldwide in 2006. Super Monkey Ball Adventure is a departure from the series in the sense that the puzzle-based gameplay is replaced by a more traditional platform game world. Traveller's Tales has retained some of the mini-games, however, and integrated the features into the gameplay. Some new mini-games are also integrated into the adventure world.
Super Monkey Ball Adventure has a native 16:9 display option, but it requires enabling it in its internal options and setting Dolphin's Aspect Ratio graphics setting to "Auto". Using the widescreen hack with this title is not recommended.
There are no reported problems with this title.
If using an Internal Resolution of 2x or higher, full screen textures such as loading screens and maps will have a gap in them. Setting Texture Filtering to Force Nearest fixes this, but will make textures appear more blocky.
No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title.
The graph below charts the compatibility with Super Monkey Ball Adventure since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
3.0-495 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5 @ 2.9 GHz | Intel HD Graphics 3000 | Playable: 49-60FPS With Direct 3D 11 Plugin, Dual Core Enabled, 8x Anisotropic Filtering, 2x Native Resolution, Random crashes occur during gameplay. | ACE014 |
3.0-549 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i7-2600K @ 4.7 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 465 | Playable: 60FPS With OpenGL Plugin, Dual Core Enabled, 16xQ CSAA, 16x Anisotropic Filtering enabled, Rarely Some Audio Cuts Out with DSP HLE & XAudio2 | MarsEdge |
5.0-21410 | Windows 10 | AMD Ryzen 5 2600 @ 3.4 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti | Dual Core, Vulkan, 2x Resolution, Stable 60FPS, 100% Completed, Has sound glitches that also occur on console.
For example: Fans in Moonhaven's Fire Automation and Cars honking in Monkitropolis don't finish playing and will get louder as more of that sound is played. I noticed brief vertical screen stretching when booting the game and during some loading screens. Turning Dual Core off seems to fix it. |
